Jewish, NOT 'Israeli', please
'Celebrate Israel' Parade in New York Why should we use 'Jewish' or 'Jew' in place of 'Israeli' For 3 reasons. 1. to recognise the name 'israel' or 'israeli' is to recognise the right of the Jews to colonise and ethically-cleanse the region at the expense of the Palestinians and others. Would you recognise the name given to your children by a kidnapper who had taken him? If so, does that not validate the actions of the kidnapper? Same goes here. 2. When you talk about 'Jewish occupation of Palestine', or the 'Jews killing Palestinians', instead of 'israeli occupation of Palestine', or 'israelis killing Palestinians', it tends to cast all Jews in a bad light. That is an opportunity for the Jews globally to assert that they have nothing to do with what's going on in Palestine, and they do not support it.
