'Community Guidelines' is Digital Colonialism
The 'community guidelines' censorship policies of Corporate Social Media can be summarised by the slogan, 'Power to those who Already Have it!'. By suppressing talk, and through that, thought, that criticises another group, or casts them as inferior, or undesirable, or of questionable virtue, they are suppressing scrutiny of those whom already have power and prominence. Yes, this rule also protects those whom are minority in power and prominence, but they gain nothing from that as they are already marginalised, and their marginalised status can never be undone without critique of the centre. So what if they are protected from insults and such from those whom are more prominent? What matters is that they can't question the standing and standards of those in power, and it is that which keeps them at the periphery daily, 24/7.
