a tale about God, Jesus, and All You Assholes

Image
God?  Oh God. Pregnancy is a gift from God. Every child is hope for humanity.  God wants you to take care of your child, love your child, nurture your child, etc, etc.     Well, i used to think so.   But not now.  Not as long as i have my commonsense intact.    There are many stillborns aren't there.  And there are others who die not too long after birth - like my mother, who lost, i think they were the first two or first and third - a Catherine and a Vincent shortly after birth.  Why?  God changed his mind?  And i had a dear chinese friend once, he got a son, loved his son lots, at the age of 6 or so, he died of Leukemia.  How does God expect humanity to nurture life when he treats it so carelessly?  So unless God's has a twisted sadistic sense of humour,  perhaps pregnancy, other than the immaculate conception, is just something that happens, and has fuck-all to do with God.  You can't call a chi...

Trump, Biden, and The Devil

Image
Who's worse?  Trump or Biden? Like i said after Trump lost the elections in the UsOfA, "The good news is, Trump lost the elections.  The bad news is, another american won it." There is no difference.  They just take turns screwing different sectors of the population, that's all.  Trump saved babies, Biden kills them.  Trump promotes racism.  Biden tones it down.  Together, they promote both as acceptable.  One holds the nut, the others turns the bolt.  That's the trick of the Devil.   The only thing all these american presidents have in common is that they are all Jew-lovers.  I call them Jew-lovers because when you love someone, you tend to overlook their wrongs, and that is exactly what they do with the Jews, in terms of giving unconditional love to them and supporting them no matter what atrocities they do.  If not, most jews in the US, Hollywood, businesses, etc, would be termed 'supporters of terrorism', or 'terro...

What Really is Capitalism?

Image
Capitalism is an economic system.  It is a system whereby people organise and undertake production and the distribution of goods and services.  Or so it is said. But more accurately, it is a system whereby people organise and undertake production and the distribution of goods and services with a particular set of attitudes, with a particular view of oneself, particular view of other people, engenders particular types of interrelationships between people, particular set of morals, and particular set of goals with particular opportunity costs and consequences .  Capitalism, like any other system, is used to nurture us into a particular type of human  through  the use of economics.  It is an ethical system, a moral system, a religious system, a philosophical system, serving to enable and disable, halt, control, and delete particular aspects of our human potentials for the purpose of particular returns. The separation of Church and State was basica...

What's this, 'Speaking in Tongues'?

Image
SPEAKING in Tongues? _______ I was hanging out with an ole 1980s (English-speaking Indian) friend of mine - who's still holding on, quite successfully i must add, to that elusive thing called 'style'.....which is quite a feat these fashionable but style-less days - and he was mentioning a chinese catholic woman friend of his who is quite into this 'speaking in tongues' thing that, from what i learnt from him, is becoming quite the rage amongst quite a few catholics these days here.   My first response was, "man, these people, (and their chinese archbishop even) support and revere racist and fascist leaders and governments, can't be bothered about other races and cultures, or learning their languages, and they want to move on to speaking heavenly languages?  Ask them learn terrestrial ones first."  My friend, being Indian, understood the joke and laughed.  Indians from the 80s, being more Indian and multicultural, were quite a witty lot.....till many ...

Singapore Catholic Church Embraces Racism and Fascism as Justifiable Means to Wealth and Harmony

Image
"He came at a time when Singapore needed a strong leader. Like St Michael who defended the people of God during the “time of great distress, unparalleled since nations first came into existence”, so, too, Mr Lee defended Singapore at a time when the young nation was in danger of both internal and external threats." - Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, Singapore A s a Catholic , I'm compelled to say, looks like the so-called Singapore Catholic Church doesn't know the difference between the devil's minion and a Saint in their praise of Singapore's late racist, fascist, eugenicist, Chinese supremacist, and grossly authoritarian PM, Lee Kuan Yew. (the Archbishop William Goh's Full Homily in brazen worship and whitewash of Lee Kuan Yew and his atrocities is reproduced after the following commentary.) Praising a racist, a fascist, an elitist as the 'founding father' who exploited people for his own greed and lust for power; turned S...

The True Face of Christ

Image
Don :   Jesus was of Jewish descent, not black, hispanic, anglo, or American indian descent. ed :  Jesus was of Heavenly Descent, and one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Hence, He isn't particularly or exclusively a Jew. And since All of us are made in the Image of God, all of us represent the Image of God. ed X

Eurocatholicism's racist saints?

Image
What nonsense. Would you canonise anyone from, for instance, Nazi Germany during the Nazi era, and who didn't actively oppose what the Nazis were doing? This fella, Cardinal John Henry Newman, hailed from Britain, a white supremacist state during the white supremacist colonial era. There are no saints there during that time, only resolute white supremacist sinners, excluding those who spoke up against it. Typical eurocentric rubbish i'm afriad.  One can't expect anything less from an all-white papacy, a legacy of the white supremacist colonial era, who can't see the image of God in man due to the whites of their eyes.  And now we are supposed to recognise this fella as a saint?  And pray to him?  While he was donning cloth that might very well have been cut from textiles imported from India at low cost through forced cultivation of cash crops and shipped to Britain? Yes, this guy may have done a lot of good.  But i'm sure the Nazis in their personal lives might ...

Lennon's 'Imagine'...lacked Imagination

Image
With his song, Imagine, John Lennon successfully got generations to downplay the significance of religion, heaven, and replace it with the corporation, the whims and fancies of these millionaire celebs, like himself, as the final arbiters of truth. Putting it really simply, 'no heaven' focuses one on 'here and now'. 'No religion' disables moral questionings, and subjects moral evolution to the capitalist-corporate-celeb-led apetites.  And this would be especially the case in a highly-sexualised, celeb-worshipping, and capitalist elite-led environment like the west was, and is grossly so today. All that is left is the corporation and celeb as moral, spiritual and intellectual beacons.  What you get at the end is an imagination free of thought and perpective that opposes the will of the corporation and the media.  It is actually quite a tricky constellation for the untrained eye to interconnect and decipher.  But it's there for those who truly prize their ind...

Can Catholics love thy LGBTQ neighbour?

Image
Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, a Catholic girls’ school run by the Salesian Sisters of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary in Washington, D.C., recently announced that its alumnae magazine will now include notices of former students’ same-sex unions. The Mother Superior wrote, "As a professed Sister of the Visitation for 67 years, I have devoted my life in service to the Catholic Church. The Church is clear in its teaching on same-sex marriages. But, it is equally clear in its teaching that we are all children of God, that we each have dignity and are worthy of respect and love. As I have prayed over this contradiction, I keep returning to this choice: we can focus on Church teaching on gay marriage or we can focus on Church teaching on the Gospel commandment of love. We know from history - including very recent history - that the Church, in its humanity, makes mistakes. Yet, through the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, it learns and grows. And so, we...
