You Didn't Actually Fall for this Dri-Fit Clothing Scam Did You?

Image
I'll keep it brief. We all have heard of those dri-fit tops and bottoms and whatnot right?  Really overpriced flimsy clothing that is supposed to 'wick' sweat away from your body.   H ow is that a benefit?  That's consumerism innit.  Off brain, open mouth, ahhhhh.  Like Nike says, 'just do it!', or like the chinaman in asia say, 'Don't think/question/complain, just do!'.  That's like driving with your eyes closed.  Like i've said before, this new western consumerist thing and the chinese tradition of abiding by the popular and the traditional without thought are two paths leading to the same lobotomised destination where you lose the senses required to want more.  You will end up making a culture out of compensating for bad consequences instead of getting rid of the cause - which is what animals do, logically speaking.  I prefer the Indian way - 'I want to think if it is worth doing in the first place, thank you very much.' with heads...

Apple and the New World Order

The question shouldn't be,  'how long can my apple computer or phone last?',   But,  'How long does the component in it with the shortest lifespan that is supposed to be easy to change, but which apple seals in so that we can't, last? ONE The lifespan of the component with the shortest lifespan and which the entire computer relies on to function, will determine how long your entire computer lasts.  When you look at it that way - which is the only logical way to look at it - you will know how long your Apple product will last, or putting it another way, how long Apple WANTS your device to last despite the other components in it outlasting it.   And finally, the component that lasts the least is actually the price of the ENTIRE device because you will be forced to throw out the entire device when that part fails.  Or, you have the option of going to see some 'genius' in the Apple store and pay loads to get it repaired or upgraded, or in other...

The Con in Product-Model Variances

Image
So AKG has just released another pro headphones - before you click away because you might not be interested in headphones, this is about more than that, and applicable to just about most products you buy these days. Ok. First we have 'studio', then 'reference', then 'superior', now 'master' reference headphones. What next? 'Premium', 'emperor', 'king of the world', 'guardians of the galaxy', headphones. I really marvel at this sort of sales strategy as it is a monumental c on. Whenever improvements are made, the new headphones should just replace the older model, and sold for the SAME price as the older model. You know what I think. This is just a whole load of concrap. Like I was saying to a friend a couple of weeks ago - yes, I actually talk about such stuff in my offline life too now and then - when it comes to professional headphones, there is no need for higher and higher level or entry-level models. All...
