You Didn't Actually Fall for this Dri-Fit Clothing Scam Did You?

I'll keep it brief.

We all have heard of those dri-fit tops and bottoms and whatnot right?  Really overpriced flimsy clothing that is supposed to 'wick' sweat away from your body.

How is that a benefit?  That's consumerism innit.  Off brain, open mouth, ahhhhh.  Like Nike says, 'just do it!', or like the chinaman in asia say, 'Don't think/question/complain, just do!'.  That's like driving with your eyes closed.  Like i've said before, this new western consumerist thing and the chinese tradition of abiding by the popular and the traditional without thought are two paths leading to the same lobotomised destination where you lose the senses required to want more.  You will end up making a culture out of compensating for bad consequences instead of getting rid of the cause - which is what animals do, logically speaking.  I prefer the Indian way - 'I want to think if it is worth doing in the first place, thank you very much.' with headshakes and all.

I'm highlighting this simply to indicate to people how gullible they can be, and to start thinking like an adult for a change.  I too have these dri-fit tops.  But i didn't buy it for the 'wicking' 'technology'.  I bought it because some of it were thin and flimsy and good for hot climates.  But from the start i didn't like the dri-fit thing.  I thought that i sweated more than i did when i didn't wear these dri-fit tops for some reason, and stunk after a while due to too much sweat.  (Most people aren't observant about things, which calls into question their claim to adulthood.)  They should call it stink-fit, not dri-fit.  Who IS the wanker who came up with this shite?

Anyhoo, the Dri-fit thing (besides being spelt incorrectly - unless they are referring to Dietary Reference Intakes, which is a bit irrelevant for clothing) is a scam for one simple reason.  You shouldn't, oughtn't, mustn't, be wearing clothes that 'wick' sweat away from you.  That isn't good.  The purpose of sweat is to cool your body.  The quicker you 'wick' it with such outfits, the more you are going to sweat.  You are basically going against your body's efforts to cool itself by constantly wicking the sweat off, thus forcing the body to produce more sweat, thus dehydrating you.

And furthermore, the more you lose this sweat through this wicking 'technology', the more electrolytes, minerals, etc, you are going to lose, thus weakening you even further, and which in turn leads many to compensate by buying and drinking more of those 'energy' drinks.  A candle wick wicks the wax to fuel the fire.  By wearing these dri-fit bollocks, you are only fuelling the dri-fit and energy drink companies.  It's like wearing something that makes you sweat more so that you can go out and buy more energy drinks, etc.

So think.  The moral of the story here is that you need to think more.  You are getting screwed daily in so many ways, and with so many consequences, and you make a life out of addressing those consequences instead of getting rid of the cause, which is what adults do.
