Indian Movies? What 'Indian' Movies?

You know, i've stopped watching Tamil (south Indian) movies for the past 5 years - and if i do, it is largely stuff produced in the 90s and before.  Why?

Tamil movies used to be a welcome break from contemporary American movies, as Tamils, unlike Americans, focus on detailed dialogue, they have lots of wit, lots of philosophical debates.  That is why i watched them in the past.  When it comes to storyline, it is as predictable as the lottery results of a year ago.  The song and dance is fine, especially if the songs were from the 90s and before, as that, unlike what the blacks think is 'soul music', is REALLY soul music. (black 'soul' music is considered to be 'soul' because it is, in contrast to what the whites were producing.  I would say that when it comes to 'soul', the blacks skim its surface, whilst the Indians do a deep sea dive into it with captain nemo.)

Vadai Productions

But now?  No.  It is bloody annoying.  They are just 'vadai' productions (the Indian 'vadai', pronounced, 'va-day', is sort of like an Indian 'donut' but more dense, spicy, and more delicious, brown on the outside, white on the inside.)  They are just brown fellas playing at being white.  The dialogue has suffered, the philosophical debates is less, the song and dance more vulgar, and the camera is as steady as one affixed to the wrist of a serial fecking wanker with image stabilisation turned off.

What are these Indian buggers thinking man.  The point of multiculturalism is to cross-check each culture and let the positive in one cancel out the negative in the other, not confuse all the negatives of one for positive simply because it comes from the west.  Indians are supposed to be smarter than that, like me for example. No wonder they are guzzling down burgers, pizzas and shite these days.  Whiteman just has to fart, and the Indiaman will bottle it and sell it as scent.

So now, i usually wait for recommendations from other Indians whom have been verified for good taste by myself, or when famous actors of the past put out a movie.  Those are usually good.  However, contemporary western sickness of the past couple of decades is seeping in, with disgusting western-style horrors, violence, etc.  Indians never produced shite like that.  But it appears they've confused the whiteman's toilet for a buffet table, as evidenced by their being indiscriminate in their choice of what to ape.  (Hollywood was producing good stuff up to the late 90s till they took a wrong turn and ended up in 'eat shit and die' avenue and setup their kitchen there.....and franchises are being setup all over the world now.)

Back in the 50s and 60s, the Indians did copy white man's styles in dress, fused a bit of their musical styles, but kept the camera steady, the women decent, the dialogue intelligent, and interactions passionate.  Now, they are gradually subtracting all the good, incorporating all the bad from western shows, and doing it with Indian passion.

Celebrity-worship is never good.  It compromises your objectivity.  In other words, It compromises your Indianness.  Whiteman shakes the camera, Indianman kicks it about.  White man flashes lights at you.  Indianman whacks you with floodlights.  Whiteman starts a foodfight, Indianman vomits all over you.  Everyone is trying to first copy, then outdo.

Dei Baderwah! There is no virtue in outdoing another,  unless you're outdoing another in virtue.

Now when i go into Netflix, i see lots of 'Indian' 'horror' movies.  What?  I get tired of seeing white ghosts going about saying 'howdy!', so now i wanna see brown ghosts running going about saying 'vannakam!'?  Let's see how scary and gory we can get as indians is it? Replace the blood-red tomato sauce with chillie chutney is it?

Think Indian, Think

The Indians ought to sit down and think about why 'horror' movies didn't make the mainstream in India as it did in America.  It is only the shallow mind that is appealed to by cheap scares and thrills as a significant part of a main diet instead of side chutney now and then.  Indian cinema and culture isn't about that.  Western cinema and culture is, with their 'amusement' park rides, slasher movies, gory horrors, raw meat, sexually debauched movies and music, and it really picked up since the 60s with their 'free love' movement which was largely a 'fuck anything that moves' movement.  Prior to that, they had more of their adult sense intact.  Now, since the 90s, their market has been taken over by their culturally and historically ignorant juveniles.  Hence, the increasing spate of shallow horror, gory, debauched anti-Christian and generally anti-Religion rubbish in their sitcom, movie, and music 'entertainment' industry.

It took a particular sort of history to bring them to this point.  By replicating their end product in your culture, you are eradicating all the strengths of your culture and history which the west never can dream of, even by the best of their movie producers.  They are a people who eat raw meat, feast on death and murder and gore, and get into bed with anyone with an 18 year old birth certificate be they of the same sex, neighbour's wife to siblings to..... .  Such a people are very much senseless, and hence, appealed to by such base stuff, and also flashing lights, shaky cameras, et cetera.  They have some good to offer, but don't mistake everything that comes from them as good.

So yeah, i don't bother with indian movies much these days, as they are basically brown gals and guys scampering around in white sheets going 'boo!'
